Roles

Delete a custom role

Deletes a custom role.

DELETE/roles/{id}

Deletes a custom role. The role must be unused: reassign every member holding it and revoke every pending invite that references it first, otherwise the delete is refused and tells you how many of each are in the way. System roles can never be deleted.

The delete is soft; the id is not reused. Emits role.deleted.

Requires the roles:write scope.

curl --request DELETE \
  --url 'https://api.envless.cloud/roles/<id>' \
  --header 'Authorization: Bearer ev_sk_xxxxxxxxxxxx'
Try itDELETEhttps://api.envless.cloud/roles/{id}
Path parameters

Authorization

  • Authorizationstringrequiredheader

Path parameters

  • idstringrequired

    Role id from GET /roles. Must be a custom role with no members and no pending invites attached.
